Here’s the scenario:
It’s Sunday afternoon and my buyers just saw their dream apartment.
Just one small problem.
The seller had just accepted an offer. My buyers were bereft. They just had a baby and this was the apartment of their dreams.
What to do?
Luckily, this being Manhattan and my being a top negotiator, I was able to find out from the seller’s broker what would make him switch to my buyers. Once I knew what would entice him to unseat the deal in place, I went back to my clients and was able to get them to up their initial offer to a number that would snag the deal.
In other words, in Manhattan real estate, IT AIN’T OVER TIL IT’S SIGNED, SEALED AND DELIVERED!
So don’t lose hope. A savvy broker can negotiate their buyer’s way into a deal that everyone else would think is a done deal.
